Three shrines at Amaravati Buddhist Monastery

The main shrine in the Temple. As well as the small candle sticks on the shrine itself there are large ones on either side ones (which would normally only be lit on moon day observances or festival days).

A very nicely set shrine in the Bodhinyana hall. The figure to the left is Sariputta, one of the Buddha's chief disciples. There is a glass etching of Ajahn Chah enshrined at the centre base of the Buddha image.
A superb Burmese alabaster image on a shrine made of oak from the Chithurst monastery forest. The two kneeling images are Sariputta and Mogallana - two senior disciples of the Buddha.
