The monastery is located in Hertfordshire, not far north of London. It was established on the site of an old school in 1984 and has grown into a large and thriving Buddhist community of monks, nuns, novices and lay people. This tour aims to give you an idea of the physical layout of the site.

For a more comprehensive history of both this monastic tradition and the monastery itself read the booklet prepared for the official dedication of the new Temple.

The start-up frame is about 90k so be patient (most of it is a site map which only loads once).
