What did you say? What is memory anyway? |
|
Short term memory:
A bit like the RAM of a computer. It enables you to recall the last
sentence of a coversation. It is crucial for performing some common
operations in your head: adding numbers, composing a sentence, following
directions, etc. Also like a computer as soon as you turn to something
else it is gone; it does not become a permanent memory. The hippocampus is critical for long
term memory. |
