This very ornate shrine is made of gold and silver and stands 36cms high. The arch is decorated with a fine floral design which flows down from the mouth of a lion - a symbol of protection and good luck - and up from the mouths of two 'MAKARAS' - traditional Indian water monsters.

The Buddha's robe is finely pleated, leaving the right shoulder bare. The hand is raised in the ABHAYA mudra.
